Positions:

Cafe Attendant:

Duties will include cash handling, order processing, food preparation, and ensuring food and beverages are delivered in a timely manner and are of high quality. You are required to maintain stock levels, and ensure the cafe and kitchen are kept clean and tidy. As a cashier, you are responsible for the end-of-day balancing of your till.

You need to be able to communicate well in a variety of situations and to provide a high level of customer service at all times. Previous cafe/food handling experience is essential, barista experience is preferred but training will be given.

 

Lift Operator: 

This position is based outdoors, is physically demanding, and involves constant customer interaction. Duties include performing daily maintenance/safety checks, maintaining loading areas, ticket checking, and loading customers onto the lifts. At times you may be required to assist in the rental department.

We are looking for people who are able to communicate well in a variety of situations, are neat in appearance, have a positive attitude, are methodical, and provide excellent customer service. Full training will be given.

 

Office Attendant: 

This position includes selling the full range of lift passes, season passes, rentals, and ski school products. Ticket Office Staff are responsible for balancing and processing banking for all departments on the mountain. You will need excellent communication skills with perfect spoken and written English language skills and you must provide a high level of customer service at all times.

This is a very fast-paced and varied position, you will need to use initiative and be able to work well under pressure. Previous cash handling experience preferred. Flexibility is essential as you may be called upon to work in different departments.

 

Rentals Attendant: 

Duties include fitting customers with the appropriate ski, snowboard, and safety equipment, recording all details on rentals forms, performing basic maintenance, and ticket checking during quiet times.

You need to be able to communicate well in a variety of situations and to provide a high level of customer service at all times. Flexibility is essential as you may be called upon to work in different departments. Full training will be given.

 

Snowsports Instructor: –

Minimum Qualification: NZSIA Ski or Snowboard Level 1 or international equivalent.

 

Groomer Operator: 

Our grooming fleet consists of two modern well maintained PistenBully 400 snow groomers.

This is mainly a sole-charge position with grooming taking place from 4:30pm daily in most instances. Any additional workload is carried out by the senior management team.

This role includes free on-mountain accommodation based slope side in a two bedroom house with our Snow Safety Officer.

Key tasks are as follows:

About You:
At least 2 seasons prior experience operating modern snow groomers essential as this is mainly a sole-charge position. Ideally this will have included grooming drag lifts lines and/or loading/unloading areas. We do not operate any winch cats.

 

Cafe Team Leader: 

Duties will include cash handling, order processing, food preparation, and ensuring food and beverages are delivered in a timely manner and are of high quality. You are required to maintain stock levels, and ensure the cafe and kitchen are kept clean and tidy.

You need to be able to communicate well in a variety of situations and to provide a high level of customer service at all times. Previous supervisory experience in an food service position highly advantageous.

 

School Holiday Staff: 

We require some hard-working casual staff to assist us during the July school holiday period (July 9-24), and (if available) at busy times later in the season. There are positions available in most departments. In most cases we are unable to provide accommodation for casual roles.

 

Ski Patroller:

All Applicants must have NZ Certificate in Avalanche Risk Management (Level 5, formerly stage 1) or international equivalent as well as first aid qualification of Pre Hospital Emergency Care or similar, be excellent skiers or boarders and have great customer service skills. Previous patrolling experience, snow-blasting certification, and strong backcountry/touring skills highly advantageous.

 

Snow Safety Officer:

We are on the lookout for a Snow Safety Officer to join our team of patrollers for 2025. All Applicants must hold a New Zealand Certificate in Avalanche Risk Management (Level 6, formerly stage 2), or equivalent as well as a first-aid qualification of Pre Hospital emergency care or similar, and be certified for snow-blasting. Strong backcountry/touring experience and heli-bombing endorsement advantageous.

This position includes free on-mountain accommodation if desired.
