Roundhill Events 2013
Test your skills and measure up to your peers in a range of fun and
exciting events at Roundhill. All events are scheduled to be held on the
Saturday while Sunday is the contingency day.
› Sat 3rd August – 80’s Day
An event not to be missed! The atmosphere is HUGE and the outfits
are truly AWFUL! Crack out the lycra pants, fluro sweatshirts, leg
warmers and blue eyeshadow. Watch (or participate in) the hilarious
water jump and enjoy all the entertainment of 80s day.
› Sat 10th August – Karl Burtscher Snr Memorial GS
In memory of Karl Burtscher Snr, this race celebrates a life in the
mountains and a love of winter sport.
› Sat 17th August – The Skidoo Hill Climb
NZ’s first skidoo hill climb event – 650m rise over 1.5km up the
Richmond Range. Highest rider wins. Great prizes on offer.
› Sat 24th August – Snow Jam
Skiers and riders test their skills in a slopestyle comp held in
Central Park. With awesome prizes up for grabs, be in to win or
watch a ll the action from the deck of the Two-Thumb Café.
› Sat 31st August – Fathers’ Day at Roundhill
Kids bring your Dad up to Roundhill and they receive half price lift
passes, then see who’s the fastest when you race them in a dual
slalom! Great prizes on offer.
› Sat 7th and Sun 8th September – The Dynastar Chill Gromfest
A great event for the young’uns in Central Park, this event is run by
