Roundhill ski area offers some of the best easily accessible snow kiting and speed flying terrain in New Zealand.
Access up to 750m vertical with a quick trip up the Heritage Express then traverse to the ski area boundary and you’re in speed flying heaven!
The North West facing slopes of the Richmond range enjoy all day sunshine and spectacular 360 degree views. With Aoraki Mt Cook and views to the east coast this makes for an exciting day of speed flying.
Please note that no flying is allowed within the ski area boundary.
Our snow kiting areas also provide some great terrain and with easy access from our car
park is another great activity to enjoy at Roundhill. Both areas are great in South to Southwest and North to Northwest winds.
