Ski Patrol:
All Applicants must have NZ avalanche level1 or equivilant as well as first aid qualification of Pre Hospital emergency care or similar be excellent skiers or boarders and have great customer service skills. A minimum of 2 seasons ski patrolling experience is required.
Snow safety officer/ Head Patroller:
This position requires Avalanche level 2 and Pre Hospital Emergency care and a Controlled Substance License you will have strong back country and leadership skills as well as excellent customer service skills.
Groomer Operator – This position has now been filled
We are looking for an experienced groomer operator who has at least 2 seasons experience. Must have references and be able to groom some park features as well as groom slopes for international ski teams.
Operations assistant – This position has now been filled
As a operations assistant you will have good mechanical skills and have some experience with heavy machinery. Duties will include some snow making / lift maintenance and road snow clearing . Flexibility and a can do attitude are essential.
Ticket Office Staff: These positions have now been filled
To sell the full range of lift passes, season passes, rentals and ski school products. Ticket Office Staff are responsible for balancing and processing the banking for all departments on the mountain. You will need excellent communication skills and must provide a high level of customer service at all times. This is a very fast paced and varied position, you will need to use initiative and be able to work well under pressure. Previous cash handling experience essential. Flexibility is essential as you may be called upon to work in different departments.
Cafe Team Member: These positions have now been filled
Duties will include cash handling, order processing, food preparation and ensuring food and beverages are delivered in a timely manner and are of high quality. You are required to maintain stock levels, and ensure the cafe and kitchen are kept clean and tidy. As a cashier you are responsible for end of day balancing of your till. You need to be able to communicate well in a variety of situations and to provide a high level of customer service at all times. Previous cafe and cash handling experience is essential, barista experience preferred.
Barista : These positions have now been filled
You will produce top quality hot beverages in an extremely busy cafe in an efficient, professional and friendly manner. Great customer service and the ability to work well as part of a small team essential. Attention to detail and previous barista experience required.
Rental Assistant – These positions has now been filled
As a rental assistant you are required to fit our customers with the appropriate boots, skis, and snowboards. You need to be able to communicate well and provide a high level of customer service at all times. Flexibility is essential as you may be called upon to work in different departments.
Lift Operator: These positions have now been filled
All positions have constant customer interaction, are physically demanding and are outdoors. We are looking for people who are excellent oral communicators, neat in appearance, have a positive attitude, show initiative and provide excellent guest service.
School Holiday Staff:
We require some hard working casual staff to assist us during the July school holiday period. There are positions available in the cafe, ski rental and the lift department. We welcome applications from mature, hard working, diligent students.
Our season runs from the 6th July until mid to late September
You will be provided with transport to and from the mountain from the Tekapo Township. We can arrange accommodation in Tekapo on your behalf.
